Gardening Classes

Even with the fog, drizzle and chillier temperatures of January and February, many people can’t stop thinking about their gardens.  Classes offered by the Jackson County Master Gardeners encourage you to look forward to spring and to be prepared for all sorts of gardening related projects.

The schedule includes classes on home orchards, pollinator habitats, and the Oregon Bee Project.  These low-cost classes are offered just outside of Jacksonville at the Oregon State University (OSU) Extension Auditorium, 569 Hanley Rd in Central Point.

‘Home Orchards” Saturday, January 20, 2018, 10:00 am—12:00 pm

“Change the World With A Small, Thoughtful, Committed Pollinator Habitat In Your Garden”

Naked Art at Art Presence Art Center running now through February.  Naked Art is  a collection of unframed fine art by Art Presence members. The bonus for collectors is that new works will replace those that have sold, so there will be more art to consider as it is added throughout the show.

historic courthouse. The gallery is open from 11am–5pm every Friday–Sunday.

Art Presence Art Center first presented our Naked Art: No Mats, No Frames, Great Deals exhibition in February 2015, and it was such a success over the first two years they decided to bring it back again . This year’s show will run for two months, giving you more time to make your decisions. Unlike most art shows where buyers must wait for the show’s end to take their purchases home, Naked Art purchases can be taken home immediately and framed to your own taste and interior decor needs.
