Jacksonville, Oregon celebrates the holidays and our past with Victorian Christmas. The celebration begins with a Community Caroling & Tree Lighting on Shop Small Saturday – 5:00 pm, November 30, 2019 and the Christmas Parade 10:00 am, Saturday, December 7.
Festivities continue on weekends up to Christmas, with some activities the weekend after Christmas. The celebration is a wonderful memory making activity and a cherished tradition.
The town is decorated all in natural greenery with white lights to evoke Christmases past. But the activities will keep any of today’s visitors entertained. On weekends between December 7 – 22 there are pictures with Father Christmas*, strolling carolers – some in vintage costumes – and complimentary hot cider, and Jolly Holly Trolley rides.
*There is no charge for taking pictures with Father Christmas. You are welcome to take your own photos as there is no professional photographer. You will find Father Christmas at a new location – 155 North 3rd Street, in the Dan McGeorge Photo Gallery.
It takes a village to put on this celebration and we welcome all types of help!
