New Eatery in Jacksonville

The Liege recently opened in Jacksonville giving folks some unique options.  Sinfully delicious dessert waffles and healthful green smoothies.

Liege waffles are a Belgium style of waffle made from dough, not batter.  That makes them denser and more satisfying.  They are topped with  a variety of delicious, flavorful things such as marsh mellow fluff & peanut butter, or lemon curd, raspberry & cream.

Owner Jonathan Cummings is new to Jacksonville.  He and his family recently decided to move from Utah and wanted a way to engage with the community.  They decided that having a place where people could find refreshments not readily available elsewhere in town fit the bill.

The new eatery is located in the historic Orth Building at 150 South Oregon, just off of California Street.  It is the former location of The Cheesemonger’s Wife – on the street level under La Fiesta.
