Needed: Host Homes for Britt Orchestra
The Britt Orchestra is truly part of the local community. These highly qualified professional musicians are actually housed by local residents – often forming meaningful and long-term relationships.
If you have been seeking a way of contributing to Jacksonville or Britt and have an extra room, this is a perfect opportunity. Host families are generally expected to provide sleeping quarters with private or shared bath privileges. Any other amenities, ranging from kitchen privileges and/or laundry facility access, to invitations to join the host family for meals are at the discretion of the host family.
It literally takes a village to pull off housing an orchestra of 100+ musicians each summer, and this year is no different! The dates needed for housing are July 24-August 14. As a nonprofit organization, we can provide a generous tax deduction, and free tickets to Britt Orchestra concerts.
