Haunted History Walking Tours

Jacksonville’s pioneers who still linger are the subjects of Historic Jacksonville’s Haunted History walking tours.  Beginning May 5 and then on the first Friday of each Month from May through September, costumed docents will share notable tales of woe, sorrow, and regret.

A fun twist on our local history, these history tours are about real hauntings resulting from past events.  The stories—some scary, some benign—come from multiple sources – people who have experienced these lingering spirits and are our attempt to recognize and honor these restless souls.

Two different tour routes are being offered—a Britt Hill tour with saloons, Oregon’s first Chinatown, and two of the most haunted houses in town; and a Courthouse route with tales of brothels, epidemics and hangings.

Tickets are $5.  Tours are limited to 15 people.  For reservations email info@historicjacksonville.org or call 541-245-3650.

Tours begin at 7pm, 7:15pm, 7:30pm, and 7:45pm on the first Friday of each month through September.  October tours begin at 6pm, 6:15pm, 6:30pm, 6:45pm and 7pm on both Friday and Saturday evenings on the second weekend in October.
