2016 Jacksonville Boosters Historic Home and Garden Tour
May 14 & 15, 2016 11-4 p.m.
The 2018 Jacksonville Boosters Historic Home & Garden Tour is on Saturday, May 5th and Sunday, May 6th from 11am-4pm.
The Home Tour provides our community with a unique opportunity to visit a mixture of historic homes and buildings in Jacksonville. This year we have three historic homes, two gardens and one modern home. Also, but without docents, you can step back in history to tour three historic churches and a historic rectory which have been graciously opened for our tourists.
Park the car and take the trolley to all the tour sites. On May 5th bring a lunch or just sit around the City Hall lawn and listen to the Irish Folk Music Duo of KAYELY from 11am-1pm or take an afternoon break and enjoy folk music super-star Bob Haworth from 1:30-3:30pm.
On May 6th, also at City Hall, from 11am-1pm relax to the baritone voice and acoustic guitar of Marshal Thompson (aka Marshall Stack) and from 1:30-3:30pm listen to the musical duo of Matt & Rebecca Stuart of Minstrel Streams.
Be sure to hang on to your “Home Tour” ticket and visit Daisy Creek Winery. The owners have once again graced the tour by providing three complimentary tastings for each ticket holder, of appropriate age, and are willing and very able to discuss wines and wine making.
Keep your eyes peeled for the Rogue Valley A’s – a chapter of the Model A Ford Club of America. The Model A’s will be Out and About, parked at various tour sites and I am sure they would love to have you look, but not touch, their pride and joys. And don’t be surprised if you see some people at the historic homes or on the trolley that appear to have stepped out of the past. They are Jacksonville’s Belles and Beaus bringing you back to a time when walking around town and having some tea were just their normal day.
