Chinese New Year – 2017 – Year of the Rooster

The contributions of the Chinese in Southern Oregon’s development are honored during our Chinese New Year Celebration, Saturday, February 18, 2017.  The Southern Oregon Chinese Cultural Association (SOCCA) coordinates a wide variety of activities and events throughout the day to explore different aspects of the ancient Chinese culture along with programs that show how the Chinese played an important role in Oregon’s early history.

The day kicks off with a fun run at 8:00 am followed by the parade at 10:30 am.  The rest of the day is filled with many entertaining and educational programs for the entire family.  Join in the celebration of The Year of the Rooster Celebration in Jacksonville Saturday, February 18, 2017.

SOCCA is a non-profit group of volunteers dedicated to creating this once a year event.
