Join Historic Jacksonville between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for Victorian Days tours and activities at Jacksonville’s historic Beekman House Museum. Docent led 1-hour tours provide a glimpse into different aspects of how people dealt with death and burial during the the late 1800s –  everything from what they wore and how they decorated their homes, to social etiquette and personal mementos of the dearly departed. JACKSONVILLE, OR — What lurks behind the lace curtains and wooden shutters of Jacksonville’s historic homes?  The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce’s Haunted Trolley Tours will introduce you to some of the spirits that inhabit familiar Jacksonville structures and share their stories with you.  Hear about the pioneer who helped settle Jacksonville and still keeps on eye on his homestead, the storekeep who refuses to abandon his business even after death, and the little girl who lingers on in the afterlife skipping along the upstairs hall. Tours run from 6:00 – 10:00 pm. departing every 15 minutes. Tickets are $10. http://jacksonvilleoregon.com/haunted-trolley/
