Best of Britt Benefit Featuring Lyle Lovett
Britt Festivals is excited to announce Lyle Lovett and his Large Band as the featured performers at it’s annual summer fundraising event. The Best of Britt Benefit will be Thursday, June 30 on the Britt Hill. Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit Britt’s music education programs.
The Best of Britt Benefit is an evening of food, wine and music on the Britt hill. Tickets are $125 per person, and include
– a reserved seat to the concert,
– food from ten restaurants, and
– tastings from local wineries.
The evening is rounded out with an auction of tempting packages, and a “paddle call,” which will help support Britt’s music education and engagement programs, including summer music camps, workshops, school residencies and free children’s concerts.
Lyle Lovett fuses elements of Americana, swing, jazz, folk, gospel, and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers. Since his self-titled debut in 1986, Lovett has evolved into one of music’s most iconic performers. His accolades include four Grammy Awards, the Americana Music Association’s inaugural Trailblazer Award, and the award of Texas State Musician. His works, rich and eclectic, are some of the most beloved of any living artist working today.
Tickets for the “Best of Britt” are $125 per person, and are on sale to the general public now. Tickets can be purchased from the Britt box office at 541-773-6077, at 1-800-882-7488, or in person at 216 W. Main Street in Medford. More information about this event, or about other Britt programs, is available online at brittfest.org.
Tickets are also on sale now for the Britt Orchestra’s 2016 season, and for The Piano Guys concert on July 28. The full 2016 Britt lineup will be announced the evening of Thursday, April 7.
Inspired by its intimate and scenic hillside venue, Britt provides diverse live performances, an incomparable classical festival and dynamic education programs that create a sense of discovery and community. Since its grassroots beginnings in 1963, the non-profit organization has grown from a two-week chamber music festival to a summer-long series of concerts in a variety of genres, including a three-week Britt Orchestra seaseon, and year-round education and engagement programs.
